Ultimate Edition 2.3 has been built from Ultimate Edition 2.2 all updates previously installed at the current moment. This release was built to satisfy the users KDE.

When I installed it I thought why not listen to a little music & use compiz as it installs. There is also integrated third party repositories 1 of which purchased by me, containing cutting edge software. If you have a 64 bit processor I highly recommend the 64 bit version it is very snappy and will be my default O/S at least until Ultimate Edition 2.4 Alpha becomes a beta With the x64 version would that not be the best of 3 worlds with XFCE?

With this distribution you get the best of both worlds, Gnome and KDE & the following additional user environments to choose Login window / software (in particular):
